Start growing that Beard, and dust off that fedora: it’s time to get on it. Sydney’s largest beer festival, Sydney Craft Beer Week has announced their dates for the 2015 event. The festival will this year fall between Saturday 17 October – Sunday 25 October 2015 so get affairs in order.
In the past Sydney has turned on a myriad of events, but this year the organises promise something special.
Organiser dude, Mark David says “Sydney Craft Beer Week is what Sydney is all about; incredibly fun events backed by a quality product. And that product is beer. The ultimate unifier. Literally nothing in the world could be better than celebrating beer, by its devoted makers, in Sydney.”
Check out the stats:
- It all began in 2011, where just 100 craft beer lovers came together with local brewers and venues to celebrate the delicious variety of brews from around the country. Australia was a craft beer desert back then.
- The event has doubled in size every year since, and shows no signs of slowing down!
- 2014 Sydney Craft Beer Week saw over 130 events in 60 venues
Second organiser dude, Joel Connolly promises it will be awesome. “Sydney Craft Beer Week has grown from a few beer-loving experts to a community wide celebration. This year we want to out-do ourselves again. There really is something for everyone, just as long as you love the beer and you’re willing to make 2015 the Unofficial Year of the Beer.”
Sydney craft beer venues and Australian brewers start getting organised now by registering events, visit the Sydney Craft Beer Week interweb space for more info.
The Opening Gala Night will kick off the event this year on October 16.
